What is Criterium racing?
The Criterium (or Crit) is a high intensity road cycling event which is run on a shorter closed roadway with the international regulation lap distance of no less than 800 metres and no greater than 3km. road course at Alton Downs, to complement the
favorite " leg testing" Caves circuit.
The Alton Downs Circuit is flatter and prone to exposure to the prevailing winds due to the rural nature of the roads; whereas the Caves Circuit is hilly and windy in sections between the hills.
Both circuits offer plenty of challenges and enjoyable scenery for those using as a training sessions.
